DescriptionConquest
of Kaiserslautern VI is a four week mini campaign that is designed to
help players grow their armies following the purchase of the Dark
Vengeance boxed set. Thus the forces called for in the missions are
drawn from those that come in Dark Vengeance, but all players and armies
may participate and play. During the course of the campaign players
are called upon to purchase, assemble and paint three additional squads/
units. There are other unit suggestions if players are playing other
races than Chaos Marines, or Dark Angels. If a player wants to use
their existing forces and participate in this campaign that is fine too,
they will be able to substitute units from their own codex. Players
that want to expand their forces will get special participation prizes
that are for those who buy, paint, and play.
So here is the skinny: starting, well, now! Players may purchase a
unit for the “Dark Ritual in Heilbronn” – mission 1. This will be 3-5
models. There is a specific list of units, but I will work with you if
there is another set that works better for you. For example the mission
calls for a box of Raptors, but lists alternate forces as Sanguinary
Guard, Destroyers, Ravenwing Black Knights, Stormboyz, Kabalite
Warriors, Gargoyles Windrider Jetbike Squadron, Thunderwolf Cavalry,
Shock troops in Chimera, XV-88 Crisis Battlesuits, Grey Knight
Interceptors, Assault Squad, and Seekers of Slaanesh. The first ten
people on the list have the first chance to show up on that scenario day
with their newly painted unit and claim their participation prize. I
was sent ten of each of three different prizes (the third mission does
not use new forces). In addition, whether or not you are playing with
new figures, for every time players play both sides of a mission they
will get a check mark (limit three per week). Each mark will give that
player one chance in a drawing to win $50 of store credit after the
campaign ends (limit- 12 chances per player)!
I know that this may seem a little confusing at first but should be a
lot of fun for everyone that gets involved. Be sure and ask any
questions that you might have (CK is more than willing to help), or come on into the store and look over
the scenario packet yourself.
